ANVIL BUILDERS PROJECTS EARN ARCHITECTURAL MERIT AWARDS

Two San Francisco projects that used Anvil Builders personnel and project expertise were recently lauded by the American Society of Landscape Architects Northern California Chapter as deserving recognition for beauty and functionality.

Hunters Point Shipyard Hillpoint Park: A Room With a View, designed by CMG Landscape Architecture is the first major open space in the transformation of the 500-acre Hunters Point Shipyard into a new mixed-use neighborhood in the Bayview District of San Francisco. The park is located on a promontory situated 90 feet above the historic industrial shipyard with sweeping waterfront views.

Mariposa Park, designed by Wallace Roberts & Todd
Mariposa Park is a culmination of multiple objectives identified through intensive community engagement including: ecological restoration in an area long degraded by industrial uses; essential public space programming serving three San Francisco neighborhoods; cultural expression in San Francisco’s oldest working waterfront; and a capstone park completing the new Mission Bay district’s medical campus.

Anvil Builders provided critical underground and infrastructure work to support the new public spaces including excavation and piping, earth moving and concrete work.
