In November 2018, the Woolsey Fire raged in and around the community of Malibu, CA, destroying hundreds of homes. Anvil mobilized 9 debris removal crews in February 2019, clearing 120,000 tons of fire debris by the end of August. Work on this fire cleanup was complicated by the fact that it was concurrent with the Camp Fire response and due to the rugged terrain, where hilltop properties were oftentimes separated by steep canyons.
