Reliability improvements at Westside Pumpstation at San Francisco’s Ocean Beach is part of SFPUC’s Sewer System Improvement Program; the multi billion-dollar citywide program is committed to upgrading the combined sewer aging infrastructure. Scope of work for this project included concrete structures, deep excavation, shoring, mechanical, electrical and underground utilities.
A new concrete building was erected to house all new electrical equipment. Equipment upgrades in the existing facility included knife gate system, mechanical valves, 54” mainline connection to Oceanside Water Treatment Plant.
