Tom Harmon is a one of the Founding Faculty of the University of California, Merced, where he currently serves as Professor and Associate Dean of the School of Engineering. Previously, he was on the faculty of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UCLA. He also directs environmental research for the UCLA Center for Embedded Networked Sensing, which is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). His research and teaching focuses on the transport and fate of pollutants in soil, groundwater, and surface water. Dr. Harmon received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University.
