Matt Azzi

Project Executive

Matt leads our Pacific North West Operations and is a Registered Civil Engineer in both CA & WA with over 17 years of Heavy Civil Construction experience. Matt has operated out of Seattle, WA since 2017.

He brings with him project experience on both Design Build and Hard Bid projects. He has led teams both large and small teams on technically demanding retrofits and new construction projects. He enjoys leading and motivating teams to succeed in the fast paced world of construction. Matt has also served as an estimator and design/build contract procurement lead which has exposed him to a large array of diverse projects and provided a chance to sharpen his cost estimating skills. Matt has been involved with estimating over $2B worth of heavy civil, transit, water resources and structural steel work.

Matt has experience on a variety of high-profile projects including the Golden Gate Bridge Seismic Retrofit ($82M), where he served as a Project Engineer responsible for structural steel erection and sidewalk deck replacement. Matt has held key roles on two design build jobs. At the West Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station ($52M), he served as field engineer and project engineer, responsible for all engineering of all field activities. At the SMART CP4project ($69M) in Sonoma and Marin Counties, he served as design-build manager, providing substantial value to both the client and the design team by streamlining design processes and improving constructability. Matt has served as project manager King County Murray CSO facility projects ($26M) where he led teams through challenging schedule and work hour constraints. Most recently, Matt was the Project Director for the Sound Transit E320 South Bellevue Project in Seattle, WA ($320M).
